Work completed on latest phase of Kingsway Business Park
Work has been completed on the construction of Logic, the latest phase of Kingsway Business Park in Rochdale.
Comprising 11 new self-contained units, Logic offers industrial accommodation from 3,090 sq ft to 16,185 sq ft with quoting rental levels from £7.50 per sq ft.
The retained agents, Jones Lang LaSalle, BC Real Estate and Barton Kendal, are already in negotiations with a number of potential occupiers for half the scheme and expect to announce the first deal in the coming weeks.
The Kingsway Partnership, which is formed between Rochdale Development Agency (RDA), Rochdale Borough Council, Homes England and Wilson Bowden Developments, has already created more than 3.5 million sq ft of new space at the popular business park, which is also home to ASDA Wincanton, JD Sports, CR Laurence, Source BioScience, Edmund Bell and Cleland McIver.
Situated at junction 21 of the M62 together with its own Metrolink stop, the park currently extends to 151 acres with a further 107 acres available for development.
Councillor John Blundell, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Business, Skills and Employment at Rochdale Borough Council and board member of the RDA said: “Kingsway has proven to one of the most important business parks to emerge in the North West over the last decade and the fact that we continue to attract high profile national occupiers who bring further investment into the region is testament to what we have created here.
“We are now considering options to deliver the final phase of the park as a whole, which will offer a further 1.5 million sq ft of commercial space.”
